I’ve been scared to travel out of Nigeria – Singer Omah Lay speaks on his arrest in Uganda
Nigerian singer, Stanley Omah Didia also known as Omah Lay, has recounted his ordeal in 2020 when he was arrested in Uganda.
It may be recalled that he and Tems were invited for a show in Uganda in December 2020 but after their performance, they were arrested for violating COVID-19 restrictions.
Speaking about the incident during Pulse One on One interview, the singer recounted how officers arrested him from his hotel room.
He explained that the security personnel politely asked him to follow them and answer some questions, however, before he realised what was going on, he already found himself in court.
Omah Lay said his trip to Uganda was his first ever international travel and the whole situation put fear in him as he has been scared to fly out of Nigeria ever since.
