Boy Spyce: Ugbekile David Osemeke, better known as Boy Spyce, is a Nigerian singer and songwriter. He was born on May 10, 2001, in Isolo, Lagos, Nigeria, and is from Edo State.

On July 29, 2019, Boy Spyce released the cover of Brown Skin Girl by Beyoncé, Wizkid, Blue Ivy Carter, and SAINt JHN. He recorded a cover version of Davido’s Jowo and released it to the public on March 30, 2021. On April 19, 2021, he released the cover of Gyakie’s Forever. On March 24, 2021, he performed a cover of Essence by Wizkid and Tems, which went viral on the internet.

Don Jazzy, CEO of Mavin Records, noticed Boy Spyce’s musical talent.

The music executive decided to mentor the aspiring artist and invite him to join Mavin Academy. Don Jazzy was able to refine his sound and improve his songwriting skills by joining the academy. During this time, the singer began to record songs for his Extended Play.


After months at the academy, he was offered a record deal by Mavin Records and became a member of the Mavin family. On April 14, 2022, the record label released Boy Spyce. In keeping with the label’s new signings tradition, he released a debut EP shortly after his signing was announced.
